The PhD research is examining authority in the contemporary polity and praxis of the United Reformed Church in the UK. In doing so, it will explore the effects of structural, procedural and legislative frameworks on the authority of the denomination and the impact these have on the denomination’s ability to adapt and change in current and future environments.
