Introduction

Sarah graduated in law in 1984 and was admitted as a solicitor in 1987. She worked as a trainee and assistant solicitor at Morgan Bruce (now Morgan Cole), becoming an Associate in 1990 and a Senior Associate in 1996. She specialised in company and commercial matters including company and business sales and acquisitions, corporate finance, non-contentious employment law and occupational pension schemes. Sarah continued to provide advice to Morgan Cole on a consultancy basis from 1997 to 2000.


From 2000 to 2002, Sarah pursued a further degree course on a part-time basis at Cardiff University and graduated in July 2002 with a bachelor of education degree in vocational training.  An article based on Sarah's dissertation was published by Cambridge University Press in Legal Information Management Vol.4 No. 1 Spring 2004.


Sarah joined Cardiff Law School in 1997.  She is a member of the team responsible for the LPC compulsory courses in Business Law and Practice and Business Accounts and is course leader for the LPC elective course in Employment Law.  Sarah is a member of the Employment Lawyers Association and is also an assessor for the Expert Witness accreditation scheme run by the Professional Development Unit at Cardiff Law School.
