Centre for Law and Religion Welcomes New Research Associate

Tony Meacham, a Tutor in Law at University of Canberra and the Australian National University, has joined the Centre as an associate.

Tony is in the final stages of completing his Ph.D in Constitutional Law at the University of Southern Queensland, Australia. He is interested in the legal interactions between religion and the state in various jurisdictions, particularly the study of the nexus where there are disputes in the public square on public policy on various issues, and how they are addressed or solved, and whether religious freedom and expression is achieved more effectively in a secular or non-secular state. He is a member of the editorial panel of the Canberra Law Review.
