Cited by the Archbishop of Canterbury

Feb 2008

The work of members of the Centre for Law and Religion at Cardiff Law School has been cited by the Archbishop of Canterbury in a public lecture. Dr Rowan Williams in his lecture ‘Civil and Religious Law in England – A Civil Perspective’, delivered on Thursday 7th February 2007 at the Royal Courts of Justice, London, referred to the work of the ‘distinguished ecclesiastical lawyer’ Chancellor Mark Hill and cited an article written by Mark Hill and Russell Sandberg: 'Is Nothing Sacred? Clashing Symbols in a Secular World' [2007] Public Law pp.488-506. The full text of the Archbishop's lecture is available here
