UK Monograph on Religion Law Published

Jan 2011

The United Kingdom monograph in the Religion Law series of the International Encyclopaedia of Laws has now been published. It has been written by Professor Mark Hill QC, Dr Russell Sandberg and Professor Norman Doe.

The 224-page monograph is one of the first national monographs within the Religion Law series, which is edited by Professor Rik Torfs . It examines State law affecting religious believers and groups in England, Wales and Scotland. It examines the constitutional position of religion, the law on religious freedom, the legal status of religious groups, the effect of international and regional laws, religion and politics, and how religion interacts with discrimination, education, criminal and family law.

The monograph has been published as a paperback book and as a loose-leaf section in the Religion Law series of the International Encyclopaedia of Laws, allowing periodic revision to incorporate changes and developments.
