LLM Student enthroned as new Bishop of Shyira Diocese

Dr Laurent Mbanda, a first year student on the LLM in Canon Law, has been enthroned as the new Bishop of Shyira Diocese in the Anglican Church of Rwanda.
Laurent replaces the retiring Bishop John Rucyahana, who has been at the helm of the Diocese since 1997. In his ceremony speech to a crowd of thousands, he said: “It is very humbling to carry this responsibility, but one I strongly believe I have been prepared for.”
